Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) —Toshshahartranskhizmat JSC has commented on a passenger complaint after people were unable to board bus No. 82 at a stop near the Mega Planet shopping and entertainment centre in Tashkent’s Yunusabad District on 25 October.

An inspection found that the driver had stopped beyond the designated boarding area because several buses had gathered at the stop, the company’s information service reported.

The vehicle was a Yutong bus operating route No. 82, which runs between Yunusabad Block 17 and Ibn Sino Block 1. It is assigned to Bus Depot No. 18.

The inspection followed a complaint published on 29 October in the Yunusabadtsy_24 Telegram channel. It found that the driver had stopped some distance beyond the designated area because of the large number of buses at the stop. As a result, some waiting passengers were unable to board.

The driver was given an explanatory briefing and reminded of the need to comply with passenger service standards, stop in designated areas while observing safety requirements, and ensure that passengers can board and alight safely.

Toshshahartranskhizmat said it monitors drivers’ compliance with passenger service rules and takes measures to prevent similar incidents.
