TMH Discusses New Train Deliveries to Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Russian engineering company Transmashholding is holding negotiations on additional train deliveries to Uzbekistan, according to company CEO Kirill Lipa in an interview with TASS.
He stated that the discussion concerns a new type of rolling stock currently at the design stage, noting that the prospective delivery differs from previously implemented projects.
Lipa also confirmed that the company has already supplied three trainsets to Uzbekistan, with the assembly of the third set nearing completion.
All three trains are expected to be put into service ahead of the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM Central Asia”, scheduled to take place in Tashkent from April 20 to 22.
The developments reflect ongoing cooperation in modernizing Uzbekistan’s railway transport infrastructure and expanding its passenger fleet.
