Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- Based on the results of the first quarter of 2024, the net profit of the Uzbekistan Stock Exchange (UZSE) made up 20.2 million soums, which is significantly less than the profit of 600.2 million soums for the same period in 2023.

The trading volume on the exchange in the first quarter of this year amounted to 171.9 billion soums, and the number of transactions reached 133,638 units. While in the same quarter of 2023, the trading volume was 1.72 trillion soums, and 48,001 transactions were concluded.

The assets of the exchange increased to 71.6 billion soums by the end of the first quarter of 2024, which is 28.8% more than in the same period of 2023. Own capital also increased by 29% to 71.2 billion soums.

The revenue of the UZSE amounted to 1.8 billion soums in the first quarter, which is 61.8% lower than for the same period in 2023.
