Tashkent Hosts Uzbekistan-Japan Business Forum
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Uzbekistan-Japan Business Forum, dedicated to developing investment, industrial, and technological cooperation between the two countries, took place in Tashkent, organized by the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade.
The event was attended by representatives of government agencies, leading Japanese companies, banks, financial institutions, and business associations. The forum served as a continuation of the agreements reached during the visit of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, to Japan in December 2025.
During the discussions, particular attention was paid to Uzbekistan's investment potential and the reforms being implemented in the country aimed at economic liberalization, protecting investor rights, and developing a modern industrial base.
It was noted that 137 enterprises with Japanese capital are currently operating in the republic, along with representative offices of 14 Japanese companies.
Forum participants reviewed prospects for cooperation in the fields of infrastructure, energy, transport, geology, healthcare, education, digitalization, and industrial cooperation.
The business program concluded with negotiations in B2B and G2B formats involving representatives of companies, banks, and relevant organizations from both countries.
