Shomurodov Scores Fourth Goal for Basaksehir

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan national team captain Eldor Shomurodov scored his fourth goal in four matches for Istanbul-based Basaksehir, though his side fell to a 2-3 home defeat against Galatasaray in the fourth round of the Turkish championship.

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen opened the scoring in the 16th minute before Shomurodov leveled the match from the penalty spot in the 66th minute. Lucas Torreira restored the visitors' lead five minutes later, but an own goal by Galatasaray defender Davinson Sanchez in the 76th minute brought the teams level once again. Gabriel Sara scored the winning goal in the closing stages of the match.

Uzbekistan national team midfielder Abbasbek Fayzullaev started the match for Basaksehir and played 74 minutes before being substituted, according to UzDaily.uz.
