Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) - On 19 October 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan Abdulaziz Kamilov held a telephone conversation with the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Vice President of the European Commission Josep Borrell. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan.
During the conversation, the prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation between Uzbekistan and the European Union, as well as upcoming events in the format "EU - Central Asia" and "Uzbekistan - EU" were discussed.
An exchange of views took place on the current situation in Afghanistan. The European side highly appreciated the measures taken by Uzbekistan to help establish peace and stability in the neighboring country, as well as to provide humanitarian assistance to the Afghan people.
