Portugal’s foreign minister visits Uzbekistan for talks on cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Portuguese Foreign Minister Luis Amado’s visit to Uzbekistan takes place on 15-16 April, Uzbek Foreign Ministry said in a statement.

During the visit, the sides would discuss the current state of and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation in the political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres.

The sides will also exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

Portugal recognized Uzbekistan’s independence on 16 January 1992.
