Mirziyoyev Receives Russian Delegation Led by Kirienko
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on April 15 held a meeting with a delegation of the Russian Federation led by First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration of the Russian Federation Sergey Kirienko.
At the beginning of the talks, the Russian representative conveyed greetings and best wishes to the Uzbek leader from President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.
The sides reviewed the implementation of agreements reached at the highest level in the context of further deepening Uzbekistan–Russia relations of strategic partnership and alliance.
During the meeting, the high intensity of bilateral contacts across a wide range of areas was noted. The steady growth of mutual trade, the implementation of significant industrial cooperation projects, and the expansion of cultural and humanitarian ties were emphasized.
Particular attention was paid to the progress of the practical implementation of the project to build the first integrated nuclear power plant in Uzbekistan, as well as the development of cooperation in the field of peaceful nuclear energy.
Following the talks, agreements were reached to intensify cooperation in the areas of digital technologies, youth and information policy, as well as media development and support for civil initiatives.
