Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who arrived in Seoul for a state visit, met with Uzbek citizens working and studying in the Republic of Korea, the Uzbek presidential press service said.

During the meeting, the president took an interest in the activities of his compatriots, their studies, work and plans for the future.

The sides discussed the transformations taking place in Uzbekistan, as well as the aspirations and plans of Uzbek citizens living in South Korea. Particular attention was paid to the significance of events planned as part of the president’s state visit.

Mirziyoyev wished his compatriots success in their professional activities and studies. He stressed the importance of the modern knowledge, skills and experience they are gaining in South Korea and expressed confidence that these will contribute to Uzbekistan’s development and help improve the well-being of its population in the future.
