Mirziyoyev and Manturov Discuss New Projects

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev on 20 April received First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, who is heading the Russian delegation at the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia,” taking place in Tashkent.

The meeting was also attended by leaders of several Russian regions, including Tatarstan, Bashkortostan, Leningrad, Kirov, Irkutsk, and Omsk regions, as well as representatives of major Russian companies.

At the beginning of the talks, Denis Manturov conveyed greetings and best wishes from the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev noted the high level of organization of the sixth “INNOPROM” exhibition, emphasizing that it brings together more than 10,000 representatives of the business community from 35 countries.

During the negotiations, the parties reviewed the practical implementation of agreements reached at the highest level, primarily in trade and economic cooperation. They noted a steady increase in bilateral trade volumes and progress in joint projects in industry, energy, peaceful nuclear energy, transport, metallurgy, and the chemical sector.

The importance of coordinated measures was emphasized to maintain positive trade dynamics and accelerate cooperation projects in priority areas, including the development of industrial zones and the expansion of contacts between regions and businesses.

Support was expressed for cooperation plans in agricultural machinery, energy efficiency, water management, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence.

Special attention was given to the training of engineering personnel for key sectors of the economy, including through joint technical universities.

In addition, representatives of Russian regions and companies presented specific initiatives to the President of Uzbekistan on implementing new projects across various sectors of the economy.
