Kyrgyz leader congratulates Uzbek president on victory in polls

Kurmanbek Bakiyev wished Islam Karimov sound health and success for the benefit of Uzbekistan as well as prosperity and well-being to the brotherly Uzbek people.

In his turn, Islam Karimov congratulated Kurmanbek Bakiyev on successful parliamentary election and wished welfare and development to the people of Kyrgyzstan.

In the telephone conversation the sides also discussed issues of bilateral cooperation, in particular the issues related to supplies of natural gas to Kyrgyzstan in 2008.
