Karshi to Put 12 New Buses on City Routes
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Twelve new ZHONGTONG buses have been delivered to Uzbekistan's Kashkadarya region and are expected to begin operating on Karshi's city bus routes in the coming days. The buses will operate under a gross-contract model.
The buses were purchased by Bazarcha LLC, a passenger transport company operating in the region. The delivery is part of efforts to renew the public transport fleet and improve the quality of services for residents.
Since the beginning of 2026, the total number of new buses delivered to Kashkadarya region has reached 56. The region received another 62 modern buses in 2025.
The fleet renewal is being carried out as part of measures to expand public transport coverage across the regions and improve the quality of passenger services. As in other parts of the country, modern foreign-made buses equipped with necessary passenger amenities are being used in the region.
The new ZHONGTONG buses are expected to be deployed on Karshi's city routes in the coming days, helping to renew part of the city's public transport fleet.
