Uzbekistan Approves Selection Rules for Tourism Businesses

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Cabinet of Ministers has approved a procedure for selecting tourism sector businesses to participate in international tourism fairs and exhibitions. The relevant Administrative Regulation was approved by Resolution No. 467 dated 4 September 2026.

The document establishes a procedure for selecting tour operators, accommodation facilities, transport and aviation organisations, as well as other entrepreneurs operating in the tourism sector.

The Centre must publish an announcement for each international tourism event at least 120 calendar days before it is held. Information will be posted on the Centre’s official website and its official social media pages.

Applicants will be able to access the government service through Public Services Centres or the Unified Interactive Government Services Portal, my.gov.uz.

The application deadline depends on entry requirements for the country where the event is held. For fairs and exhibitions in countries that require a visa for entry, applications may be submitted from the date the announcement is published, but no later than 100 calendar days before the event begins.

For events in visa-free countries, applications may be submitted from the date the announcement is posted and no later than 30 calendar days before the event.

Participants in international tourism events will be divided into four categories. The first category will include tour operators, the second accommodation facilities, and the third transport and aviation organisations. The fourth category will comprise other business entities operating in the tourism sector that wish to participate in the event.

Allocated places will be distributed among the categories according to established quotas. Tour operators will receive 60% of the places, accommodation facilities 15%, and organisations providing transport services 15%. Other tourism businesses will receive 10% of the allocated places.

The regulation therefore establishes a unified procedure for submitting applications, selection deadlines and the distribution of places among the main categories of participants in international tourism fairs and exhibitions.
