Kamilla Rakhimova Advances to US Open Third Round

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan tennis player Kamilla Rakhimova advanced to the third round of the 2026 US Open on Thursday after defeating Spain's Oksana Selekhmeteva in straight sets.

Rakhimova, ranked 92nd in the world, secured a 6-3, 6-0 victory over the 93rd-ranked Selekhmeteva in a second-round match that lasted 1 hour and 5 minutes.

During the match, Rakhimova recorded one ace, committed no double faults, and converted four of her five break point opportunities. Selekhmeteva recorded no aces, committed one double fault, and failed to earn a single break point.

For a place in the fourth round, Rakhimova will face the winner of the second-round match between Belarusian player Aryna Sabalenka and Russia's Polina Iatcenko.
