In Samarkand, a Nexia driver knocked down a 4-year-old girl to death at a pedestrian crossing

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- As the press service of the Department of Internal Affairs of Samarkand region reported, on 31 May, a fatal traffic accident occurred on the section of the M-37 Samarkand-Bukhara highway, passing through the territory of Akdarya district. 

A 15-year-old girl, along with her sister, was crossing the roadway at a pedestrian crossing, when a Nexia-3 car, moving at high speed, knocked down a 4-year-old girl. As a result, the girl was seriously injured and died in the hospital.

The driver took the girls to the hospital and then fled. As a result of operational-search activities, the personnel of the regional Department of Internal Affairs identified the driver, and he was detained.
