IMF: Economy of Uzbekistan to grow by 6.2% in 2015

Gross domestic product (GDP) of Uzbekistan will grow by 6.2% in 2015, the April report of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) “World Economic Outlook” said.
The IMF report said that economy of Uzbekistan rose by 8.1% in 2014. The IMF experts forecasted that Uzbekistan’s GDP will grow by 6.2% in 2015 and 6.5% in 2016. The report said that economy of Uzbekistan will also post 6.5% growth in 2020.
According to the report, inflation rate in 2014 was 8.4%. The IMF forecasted that inflation will make up 9.5% in Uzbekistan this year and 9.8% next year.
Current account balance was at the level of 0.1% to GDP in 2014, the IMF said. The organization forecasted that the figure will make up 0.2% in 2015 and 2016.
