Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — As part of the United Nations General Assembly, a forum chaired by the First Lady of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Ziroat Mirziyoyeva, is being held in New York under the support of the World Health Organization and St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

The event focuses on the “Global Movement to Increase Survival and Reduce Suffering of Children with Cancer and Other Life-Threatening Diseases.”

This forum, addressing one of the most pressing issues in the global healthcare system, is being held in Uzbekistan’s name at such a high level for the first time, drawing attention from numerous countries, international organizations, and experts.

During the event, the First Lady will call on the international community to take active measures to improve survival rates for children with cancer.

Notably, First Ladies from almost every continent are participating in the forum, including the spouses of the Presidents of Turkey, Azerbaijan, Angola, Vietnam, Guatemala, Serbia, and other countries.
