Ferghana and Omsk Regions Launch Investment Projects
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Negotiations were held between the leadership of Uzbekistan’s Ferghana Region and a delegation from Russia’s Omsk Region on the sidelines of the international industrial exhibition “INNOPROM. Central Asia,” taking place in Tashkent.
Ferghana Region Governor Khayrullo Bozorov held a series of meetings with members of the Russian delegation, during which the parties discussed further expansion of interregional cooperation. Both sides noted that relations between the regions have reached a new level, with previously reached agreements being consistently implemented in practice.
Omsk Region Governor Vitaly Khotsenko emphasized that his recent working visit to Ferghana Region helped align key areas of joint cooperation.
Within the framework of the partnership, the sides plan to implement a number of investment projects, including the development of potato farming, livestock production, and the establishment of trade houses. Special attention is being paid to strengthening economic and agricultural ties between the regions.
Following the meeting, the parties signed a cooperation roadmap for 2026–2030, which outlines practical steps for implementing joint initiatives and expanding investment collaboration.
