Euro 2024: England defeats Switzerland

In the 75th minute, Swiss forward Breel Embolo opened the scoring, putting his team ahead.

Five minutes later, England midfielder Bukayo Saka equalized, bringing the score to 1-1. The match’s regular time ended with this result.

During extra time, neither team managed to score.

In the penalty shootout, England emerged victorious with a 5-3 score. Switzerland’s Manuel Akanji missed a crucial penalty.

England will face the winner of the match between the Netherlands and Türkiye in the semifinals.
