Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of the Deposit Guarantee Agency of Uzbekistan participated in the annual meeting of the Eurasia Regional Committee (EARC) of the International Association of Deposit Insurers (IADI) and an experience-sharing seminar held from 2 June 2026 to 4 June 2026 in Bishkek.

On the first day of the event, specialists from the Agency presented practical experience in organizing compensation payments to depositors during bank liquidations. In particular, they demonstrated a mechanism developed jointly with an agent bank that allows depositors to receive compensation remotely through a mobile application.

According to the Agency, international participants highly praised the presented solution as a modern and convenient tool for depositors and expressed interest in studying this experience in greater detail.

On the second day of the seminar, representatives from Kazakhstan, Turkey, Georgia, Kenya, and Nigeria shared practices regarding the organization of timely and reliable information exchange among participants in the financial safety net and spoke about its role in ensuring financial stability.

Participants also took part in practical exercises based on real-world scenarios dedicated to the early detection and prevention of guarantee events. During the discussions, approaches to protecting depositor interests and strengthening the resilience of the financial system were reviewed.
