Davis Cup: Istomin wins, Fayziev loses

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- The first day of the second round of the Group I Asia/Oceania Zone of Davis Cup tie between Uzbekistan and South Korea ended in Gimcheon. The score is 1-1.

In the first rubber, Sandjar Fayziev lost to South Korean number one Hyeon Chung in five sets 4:6, 4:6, 7:6, 6:4 and 0:6.

Uzbekistan number one Denis Istomin beat Duck Hee Lee in four sets 4:6, 6:2, 7:6 and 6:4.

On Saturday, Istomin and Fayziev will play against Hyeon Chung and Yong-Kyu Lim in the double’s matches.
