China's Raising Sun to Invest Over US$200M in Namangan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — China's Raising Sun Technology Co., Ltd. plans to implement an investment project to produce paint and varnish materials in Uzbekistan's Namangan region, according to the press service of the Namangan region administration. The total volume of investments in the project is expected to reach more than US$200 million, and the enterprise is slated to create over 500 jobs once it reaches full capacity.
A delegation from Raising Sun Technology Co., Ltd., led by company head Mao Bu Xie, visited the Namangan region to present the proposal for the large-scale investment project. The Chinese firm intends to build the manufacturing facility in Namangan across three stages. During the initial phase, the investor intends to allocate US$85 million and create 500 new jobs, with total investments planned to expand to more than US$200 million in subsequent phases.
Namangan region governor Shavkatjon Abdurazzokov hosted the Chinese delegation to review the presented proposals and discuss operational details. A suitable site for the facility is expected to be selected within the Chust district territory of the Namangan Free Economic Zone. Officials noted that the project is expected to ensure full compliance with environmental standards, and both sides discussed next steps for site placement and project implementation.
