Bunyodkor Stadium Cut Off From Power Over Debt

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Bunyodkor Stadium in Tashkent has been fully disconnected from electricity since 4 September due to outstanding debt, forcing the office of the Professional Football League of Uzbekistan (PFL) located at the stadium to temporarily switch to remote work, the PFL said.

The power outage has resulted in a complete shutdown of the PFL’s servers, causing problems with broadcasts of Super League and Pro League matches, as well as online football broadcasts.

During official matches, the league normally receives television signals and centrally distributes them to various platforms. However, the lack of electricity has disabled the PFL’s own server infrastructure.

The organization is now forced to use external servers to receive and further transmit television signals from matches. This allows broadcasts to continue despite the stadium’s power outage.

The PFL also warned that the situation could lead to a decline in the quality of the broadcasting process and online match broadcasts.

Organizations and individuals who need to contact the Professional Football League have temporarily been asked to submit their requests by email.

Electricity supplies to the stadium were completely cut off on 4 September because of the outstanding debt. As of 7 September, the situation remained unchanged.
