Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Bekhruzbek Usmonov secured a bronze medal at the World Judo Junior Championships currently underway in Ecuador, competing in the under-73 kg weight category, the Uzbekistan Judo Federation reported.
Usmonov secured the single medal for Uzbekistan's national team on the latest day of competition.
Following two days of competition at the world championship, the national team of Uzbekistan has accumulated five medals, comprising one gold and four bronzes. The overall medal tally places the Uzbek team among the top three nations in the team standings.
