Barack Obama congratulates Islam Karimov with Uzbekistan’s Independence Day

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- President of the United States of America Barack Obama on behalf of all Americans congratulated President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov and people of Uzbekistan with the Independence Day.

“On 1 September, we welcome the 19th anniversary of Uzbekistan as an independent and sovereign state,” Barack Obama said in his congratulation letter.

“I am confident that our countries will continue to work together to strengthen our bilateral relations in the future,” he added.

“May the celebrations bring happiness to you and the citizens of Uzbekistan,” the US President wished.
