Ambassador of Uzbekistan and Minister of Defense of Hungary discuss military cooperation

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Uzbekistan to Hungary Oybek Shakhavdinov held an official meeting with Hungarian Minister of Defense Romulusz Ruszin-Szendi, the Dunyo Information Agency reports.

The main purpose of the talks was to discuss the current state of interagency ties and determine promising vectors for expanding bilateral interaction.

During the conversation, the parties analyzed in detail the existing potential and key directions for long-term Uzbek-Hungarian cooperation in the defense sphere.

The diplomat and the head of the ministry placed a particular emphasis on strengthening cooperation in the defense industry and expanding academic contacts in military education. The meeting participants exchanged views on the possibility of launching and jointly implementing specific practical projects of mutual strategic interest to both states.

Following the round of negotiations, the officials confirmed their mutual commitment to the further development of a constructive and trusting dialogue.

The sides reached a firm agreement to maintain regular contacts at various levels to systematically strengthen partnership relations between the relevant agencies of Uzbekistan and Hungary.
