A train collided with a truck on the Jizzakh-2 stretch

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- On 20 October 2020, at 00:05 a.m., a freight train collided with a CHAKMAN truck at an unguarded crossing on the Jizzakh-2 - Chamanzor section (formerly Section 205).

The cause of the road accident was a gross violation by the driver of the "Rules for finding and driving through railway crossings". As a result of the collision, one of the sections of the locomotive derailed, the railway track was damaged, and signaling devices were damaged. The driver of the car is in intensive care, the driver and his assistant received first aid.

The railroad is currently undergoing restoration work. Law enforcement agencies are also investigating the incident at the scene.
