Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of the Uzbekistan Stock Exchange (UZSE) and Acwa discussed prospects for cooperation, including the possibility of listing the company’s securities on the Uzbek stock exchange, according to the UZSE press service.

The meeting covered Acwa’s operations in Uzbekistan, as well as the company’s completed and ongoing energy projects. The parties also discussed prospects for expanding investment opportunities through capital market mechanisms.

A key topic of the talks was the potential listing of Acwa Power shares on UZSE. The sides exchanged views on the prospects for such a listing.

Representatives of the company were also briefed on efforts to expand the range of financial instruments available on Uzbekistan’s capital market. In particular, the discussions covered the prospects for introducing foreign-currency-denominated bonds and sukuk.

The new instruments are expected to broaden the range of financial products available on the market, create additional financing opportunities for domestic and foreign issuers, and offer investors new investment options.

Acwa is an international energy company operating in renewable energy, electricity storage systems and green hydrogen.

Following the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue exploring cooperation opportunities and maintain practical dialogue on the areas discussed.

Correction: ACWA Power changed its name to Acwa as part of a rebranding in January 2026. The company name has been updated in the text.
