Uzbekistan women learn World Cup 2027 playoff opponents

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s women’s national football team has learned its opponents for the first stage of the intercontinental playoff for the 2027 FIFA Women’s World Cup.

Following the draw, Uzbekistan will face Papua New Guinea, Ghana and South Africa, the Uzbekistan Football Association said.

The first-stage intercontinental playoff matches will be held in a centralised format in November-December 2026.

Uzbekistan’s opponents at this stage will be the national teams of Papua New Guinea, Ghana and South Africa.

The intercontinental playoff will determine the teams that qualify for the 2027 Women’s World Cup.
