Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and the United Arab Emirates discussed prospects for expanding cooperation and implementing investment projects during meetings held in Abu Dhabi, Uzbekistan’s Investment, Industry and Trade Ministry said.

Uzbekistan’s Minister of Investment, Industry and Trade Laziz Kudratov participated on 7 October in the Investopia Bridge 2026 forum and the UAE-Uzbekistan business roundtable, “Connecting Capital with Opportunities,” held in Abu Dhabi.

During the events, the sides discussed prospects for expanding cooperation in a number of priority areas, including energy, digital infrastructure and artificial intelligence, the financial sector, chemicals, agriculture, tourism, transport and logistics, and development.

As part of the visit, Kudratov held a series of bilateral meetings with UAE Minister of Economy and Tourism Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Minister of Investment Mohammed Hassan Alsuwaidi and Minister of Foreign Trade Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi.

The head of the Ministry of Investment, Industry and Trade also held talks with executives of major UAE companies. The sides considered opportunities to further develop business ties and implement prospective projects.

Following the visit, the sides identified next steps to advance projects involving government institutions, investment funds and business representatives from Uzbekistan and the UAE.
