Uzbekistan, Türkiye Discuss Strategic Partnership and OTS Events

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mirvokhid Azimov, held an official working meeting with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Türkiye to Uzbekistan, Ufuk Ulutash.

During the talks, the sides reviewed the current state and outlined the long-term prospects for the comprehensive strategic partnership between Tashkent and Ankara, which has demonstrated high dynamics in recent years.

The officials focused on further activating bilateral and multilateral ties in priority sectors of interaction.

The diplomats discussed specific mechanisms to increase mutual trade volumes, stimulate joint tourism flows, and deepen academic exchanges in higher and vocational education.

They emphasized the importance of maintaining regular contacts at all levels to promptly resolve current issues on the interstate agenda.

A significant part of the discussion included a thorough exchange of views on relevant aspects of multilateral activity within the Organization of Turkic States (OTS). Mirvokhid Azimov and Ufuk Ulutash reviewed initiatives aimed at further strengthening practical cooperation between the member states of the integration bloc.

In addition, the sides coordinated their positions and discussed the progress of comprehensive organizational and substantive preparations for key events and summits within the framework of the OTS, which are scheduled to take place by the end of this year.
