Uzbekistan Travel to Türkiye Up 17.7 Percent in 2026

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A total of 166,893 citizens of Uzbekistan visited Türkiye for tourism-related purposes between January and July 2026, according to Uzbekistan's National Statistics Committee.

The figure represents an increase of 25,100 people, or 17.7 percent, compared to the same period in 2025.

Leisure travel accounted for the majority of the trips, with 138,320 Uzbek citizens traveling for holiday purposes, representing approximately 82.9 percent of the total trips recorded during the seven-month period.

A further 24,555 Uzbek citizens traveled to Türkiye to visit relatives, accounting for about 14.7 percent of the total.

Additionally, 2,016 citizens visited for medical treatment, representing about 1.2 percent, while 1,097 traveled for business purposes, making up approximately 0.7 percent. Education-related trips accounted for 905 citizens, or about 0.5 percent of the overall total.

The data indicates that travel for leisure purposes remains the primary category for visits by Uzbek citizens to Türkiye. Overall trips for the specified purposes reached 166,893 during the first seven months of 2026, demonstrating steady growth year over year.
