Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Representatives of the Uzbekistan Stock Exchange (UZSE), the National Agency for Perspective Projects, and the Capital Market Information and Resource Center took part in an exchange program in South Korea aimed at studying advanced technologies in capital market operations and regulatory oversight.
During the visit, participants explored key components of one of Asia’s most digitalized and advanced capital markets. Special focus was placed on modern market surveillance technologies, including automated monitoring systems capable of detecting suspicious transactions, preventing market manipulation, and effectively protecting investor interests.
Cooperation between the Korea Exchange (KRX) and Uzbekistan has been ongoing since 2016. As a 25% shareholder in the UZSE, KRX played a pivotal role in developing the Unified Software and Technical Complex that now facilitates all transactions involving corporate securities in Uzbekistan.
The experience and insights gained during the program are expected to provide strong momentum for the continued modernization of Uzbekistan’s stock market and its integration into the global financial system.
