Uzbekistan Stock Exchange Sees Rise in April Trades
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistan Stock Exchange recorded 74,484 transactions with securities of companies across 14 sectors of the economy in April 2026, with a total trading volume of 303.56 billion som, according to exchange data.
The highest level of market activity was recorded in the banking sector, where 31,672 transactions were concluded. It was followed by industry with 9,360 deals and the insurance sector, which registered 8,883 transactions.
In terms of trading volume, the banking sector was the clear leader, accounting for 141.01 billion som, or 46.45% of total turnover. Financial services also held a significant share, with 117.75 billion som, representing 38.79% of the market. Together, these two segments accounted for more than 85% of total exchange turnover.
The lowest level of activity was recorded in the leasing sector. Only 42 transactions were concluded in this segment, with a total volume of 462,610 som, reflecting its limited share of the capital market.
The April results underscore the high concentration of trading activity in the banking and financial sectors, which continue to define the structure of Uzbekistan’s capital market.
