Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — A delegation from the Culture and Art Development Foundation of the Republic of Uzbekistan has concluded a working visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
During the trip, members of the Uzbek delegation visited the construction site of the World Expo 2030 Riyadh. The delegation reviewed the master plan of the international project and inspected the specific land plot officially allocated by the organizers for the construction of the national pavilion of Uzbekistan.
Official talks were held during the visit with Abdullah bin Al Khamis, the Director of International Participants for EXPO 2030 Riyadh.
The sides discussed the spatial location of the future exhibition complex, approved its preliminary thematic concept, and outlined the step-by-step stages for further administrative and technical preparations for participation in the international exhibition.
During the meeting, the Saudi side praised Uzbekistan's similar project at EXPO 2025 in Osaka, noting the professionalism and high level of artistic execution of the national exposition in Japan.
Special emphasis during the consultations was placed on the long-term use of the infrastructure after the conclusion of the world forum. Officials from Saudi Arabia and Uzbekistan reviewed the legal and technical possibilities of preserving the national pavilion for its subsequent transformation into a permanent international venue.
The activities of this center will focus entirely on the long-term promotion of the rich historical and cultural heritage of the republic, the development of bilateral cultural diplomacy, and the strengthening of interstate cooperation between Tashkent and Riyadh.
