Uzbekistan ranks third in the CIS in terms of resident population

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- As of 1 January 2022, the permanent population of the republic amounted to 35.3 million people.

According to the analysis, the share of permanent population in percent as of January 1, 2022 in the CIS countries is:

Russia - 51.3%

Ukraine - 14.6%

Uzbekistan - 11.9%

Kazakhstan - 6.5%

Azerbaijan - 3.5%

Belarus - 3.3%

Tajikistan - 3.2%

Kyrgyz Republic - 2.3%

Turkmenistan - 1.5%

Armenia - 1.0%

Moldova - 0.9%
