Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Total assets of pawnshops in Uzbekistan reached 937.7 billion soums as of 1 August 2026, increasing 50% over the year from 625.7 billion soums, according to the Central Bank.

Net loans, which account for the largest share of the sector’s assets, increased from 513.4 billion to 692.7 billion soums, or 35%. Their share of total assets, however, declined from 82.0% to 73.9%.

Receivables from banks increased 4.1 times, from 19.2 billion to 79.5 billion soums. Other assets rose 121% to 82.3 billion soums, cash and other payment documents increased 74% to 24.8 billion soums, accrued interest receivable grew 39% to 36.4 billion soums, while fixed assets increased 44% to 21.9 billion soums.

The sector’s liabilities increased 72% over the year to 223.3 billion soums, compared with 129.9 billion soums a year earlier.

Loans, borrowings and leases payable accounted for 80.0% of total liabilities. Their volume increased 79% to 178.6 billion soums.

Accrued taxes payable rose 147% to 9.3 billion soums, accrued interest payable increased 59% to 7.7 billion soums, while other liabilities grew 27% to 27.7 billion soums.

Total pawnshop capital amounted to 714.5 billion soums, up 44% from 495.8 billion soums. Charter capital increased 44% to 225.3 billion soums, retained earnings rose 57% to 306.4 billion soums, current-year profit increased 28% to 166.4 billion soums, while reserve capital grew 23% to 16.3 billion soums.

As of the reporting date, 90 pawnshops were operating in Uzbekistan, compared with 92 a year earlier.

Largest pawnshops by assets

Hurma Lombard remained the sector leader by assets at 165,056.4 million soums, an increase of 163%. It was followed by Hashamatli Chinor with 65,027.7 million soums, up 63%; Chinara Business Credit with 57,432.5 million soums, up 61%; Maximum with 43,841.6 million soums, up 65%; Stolichniy Kredit with 37,937.9 million soums, up 39%; Hamkor-kredit with 33,709.4 million soums, up 42%; and Zoloto with 31,135.2 million soums, an increase of 3.4 times.

Organizations with the sharpest asset growth

In addition to Zoloto, whose assets increased from 9,212.5 million to 31,135.2 million soums, or 238%, significant growth was recorded by Klassik Lombard, whose assets rose from 1,015.7 million to 3,364.7 million soums, or 3.3 times.

Credit Flex increased its assets from 6,254.2 million to 12,668.2 million soums, up 103%; Mandarin rose from 1,932.2 million to 3,564.9 million soums, up 84%; Afina Finans increased from 8,163.2 million to 14,320.4 million soums, up 75%; Davr Lombard rose from 1,049.8 million to 1,785.3 million soums, up 70%, while its net loans increased 14.3 times from 81.5 million to 1,166.8 million soums.

Atzlaha-18 increased its assets from 675.3 million to 1,121.8 million soums, representing 66% growth.

Organizations with declining assets

Asset declines were recorded at Sarmoya-madad, down 11% to 6,437.6 million soums; Bilol Daroma, down 28% to 2,680.2 million soums; Kibray-kredit, down 23% to 2,486.7 million soums; Oktepa Kapital, down 25% to 1,688.0 million soums; and Yangiyul Ishonch Kredit, down 13% to 2,925.7 million soums.

Sector capitalization

Hurma Lombard led the sector by total capital at 63,121.5 million soums, up 140%. It was followed by Hashamatli Chinor at 53,459.7 million soums, up 51%; Chinara Business Credit at 41,379.9 million soums, up 44%; Stolichniy Kredit at 32,807.4 million soums, up 42%; and Maximum at 28,613.9 million soums, up 71%.

Zoloto recorded the sharpest increase in charter capital, from 500.0 million to 37,100.0 million soums, or 74 times. Klassik Lombard’s charter capital rose from 700.0 million to 2,000.0 million soums, an increase of 186%.

By capital size, the share of pawnshops with capital exceeding 3 billion soums increased from 88.3% to 91.8% of the sector’s total capital, with their number rising from 45 to 50 organizations. The share of organizations with capital of up to 1 billion soums remained insignificant at around 1.0%.

Liabilities and bank borrowings

The largest liabilities were recorded by Hurma Lombard at 101,934.9 million soums, up 208%; Chinara Business Credit at 16,052.6 million soums, up 169%; Maximum at 15,227.6 million soums, up 60%; and Hashamatli Chinor at 11,568.0 million soums, up 217%.

Total borrowings attracted from banks by the sector amounted to 25,150.9 million soums, compared with 21,055.0 million soums a year earlier, representing 19% growth.

The sharpest increases in bank borrowings were recorded by Mandarin, from 250.9 million to 876.7 million soums, or 3.5 times, and Golden-kredit, from 1,044.0 million to 1,577.2 million soums, or 51%.

Distribution of the sector by asset size

Of the 90 operating pawnshops, 68 organizations had assets exceeding 2 billion soums. Their combined assets amounted to 914.9 billion soums, or 97.6% of the sector’s total assets.

The 12 organizations with assets ranging from 1 billion to 2 billion soums held 18.0 billion soums in assets, while eight organizations with assets of up to 1 billion soums held 4.8 billion soums.
