Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The length of metro lines in Uzbekistan reached 71.2 km in double-track terms as of 1 January 2026, the National Statistics Committee said.
In 2000, the length of metro lines stood at 29.5 km. Over 25 years, the figure increased by 41.7 km, or 2.4-fold.
In 2001, the length of the lines grew to 36.1 km and remained at that level until 2020.
In 2021, the figure increased to 59.1 km. It was unchanged in 2022, and in 2023 reached 68.2 km.
In 2024, the length of metro lines stood at 71.2 km and remained at that level in 2025.
The main increase in the figure over the period therefore came in 2021–2024.
