Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan is conducting a joint investigation into reports of a possible leak of citizens’ personal data from the SAFE Service platform, formerly known as Safe Road, the country’s Interior Ministry said.

According to the ministry, reports circulating on social media allege a possible leak of personal information, including data associated with SAFE Service, which is developed and maintained by AUTODOC LLC.

The investigation involves specialists from the Cybersecurity Centre under the State Security Service, the Interior Ministry and AUTODOC.

The teams will verify the accuracy of the published reports, establish the origins of the information being circulated and determine the circumstances in which it emerged. They will also investigate whether any personal data leaks occurred from SAFE Service or other relevant information systems and electronic platforms.

The Interior Ministry said further official information would be provided once the investigation is complete. If the reports are not confirmed, the ministry will also explain the reasons behind their emergence and identify the sources from which they spread.
