Uzbekistan edge past Belarus 1-0

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) -- A goal from Alisher Azizov guaranteed Uzbekistan its first three points in the 8th international friendly tournament (Doha, Qatar) as the Central Asian U-20 team came out victories against Belarus.

Both teams somehow managed to find a way to deliver extremely mediocre football despite their impressive record in this age category, Belarus failed to keep up with the physical football produced by Uzbekistan to force themselves into a critical position before clashing with Malaysia in the next round.

Uzbekistan will play against Malaysia on 12 January, while Belarus will meet hosts Qatar on the same day.
