Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and US-based Mayo Clinic have discussed prospects for cooperation in healthcare, including medical institution management, biotechnology, genomics and scientific research.
The meeting was held on 5 November with the participation of Abdulla Azizov, director of the Agency for the Development of the Medical and Pharmaceutical Industry.
The sides explored opportunities to implement joint projects and exchange experience in the management of medical institutions, research and development (R&D), genomics and advanced biotechnology.
Following the talks, they agreed to arrange familiarisation visits to medical institutions, reciprocal visits by representatives to exchange experience, and joint practical workshops.
Further cooperation is expected to focus particularly on studying Mayo Clinic’s experience in managing medical institutions, conducting scientific research and applying advanced biotechnology.
