Uzbekistan carmakers sell 146,361 vehicles in five months
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Uzbekistani automakers sold a combined total of 146,361 vehicles during the first five months of 2026. These data were provided by the UzAutoSanaot association in its statistics for the period from January to May of this year.
UzAuto Motors remains the largest player in the market, having sold 69,001 vehicles, which accounts for 47.1 percent of the total sales volume.
In second place is UzAuto Khorezm with a result of 45,756 units and a market share of 31.3 percent.
The third position is occupied by ADM Jizzakh, which sold 17,417 vehicles (11.9 percent).
BYD Uzbekistan Factory sold 13,700 units, corresponding to a share of 9.4 percent. Significantly smaller volumes were recorded by Samarqand Avtomobil Zavodi with 386 vehicles (0.3 percent) and Asaka Motors with 101 units (0.1 percent).
In the structure of sales by segment, B-class sedans dominate, accounting for 35.3 percent of the market. Light commercial vehicles occupy 31.4 percent, SUV-B class off-road vehicles make up 21.5 percent, and SUV-C crossovers comprise 6.8 percent. C-class and D-class sedans form 2.8 and 1.2 percent of sales, respectively.
Among brands, Chevrolet remains the absolute leader with 114,757 vehicles sold. It is followed by BYD with 13,700 units, Kia with 9,945, Chery with 3,795, and Haval with 3,580. SamAuto sold 275 vehicles, Foton sold 111, and Hyundai sold 101.
In the ranking of the most in-demand models, the Cobalt holds first place with a result of 35,245 units. It is followed by the Damas with 29,743 vehicles and the Tracker with 16,924. The top five also includes the Onix (16,469) and the Labo (15,486). Among other popular models are the Kia Sonet (8,026), BYD Song Plus DM-I Uzpride (4,643), BYD Yuan-Up (3,606), and Chazor Champion (3,018).
