Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan’s Foreign Minister Bakhtiyor Saidov held a meeting with Ichiro Takahara, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Japanese corporation JOGMEC, during which the sides discussed expanding cooperation in the exploration and extraction of mineral resources.
JOGMEC (Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security) is a Japanese corporation specializing in ensuring the security of strategic resources in the oil, gas and metals sectors.
The sides discussed expanding geological exploration in Uzbekistan, developing critical minerals and attracting advanced Japanese technologies in these areas, the Foreign Ministry’s press service said.
They also expressed a mutual intention to expand cooperation in mineral ore beneficiation and processing, improving the quality of metallurgical products, personnel training and research activities.
