Uzbekistan and Georgia Strengthen Agricultural Cooperation
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — Uzbekistan and Georgia have agreed to expand cooperation in the field of agriculture. The corresponding agreements were reached during a working visit of an Uzbek delegation to Georgia, led by Deputy Minister of Agriculture Kahramon Yuldashev.
As part of the visit, a meeting was held between Kahramon Yuldashev and the Deputy Minister of Agriculture of Georgia, Lasha Dolidze. The parties discussed prospects for cooperation in viticulture, winemaking, olive cultivation, combating land degradation, and the digitalization of water resources management.
Following the negotiations, preliminary agreements were reached on creating a joint working group between the ministries of agriculture of the two countries. The first meeting of this group is planned to be held in Uzbekistan.
The parties expressed confidence that the reached agreements will contribute to the development of practical cooperation in the agricultural sector and expand the exchange of experience between Uzbekistan and Georgia.
