Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The Consulate General of Uzbekistan in Dubai assisted in the return home of citizen U.R., who found himself in a difficult situation in the UAE. This was reported by Dunyo news agency.
According to the Consulate General, the citizen travelled to the UAE seeking employment. Before leaving Uzbekistan, he did not contact the Agency for Migration of Uzbekistan and began looking for work independently after arriving in the country.
Unable to find a suitable vacancy, the citizen faced financial difficulties. He ran out of money for accommodation and food and was unable to purchase an air ticket to return to Uzbekistan on his own.
Diplomats from the Consulate General spoke with the citizen and examined the circumstances of his situation. He was provided with temporary accommodation and food, after which the consulate provided the necessary assistance for his departure from Dubai to Uzbekistan.
The Consulate General recommends that citizens planning to seek employment abroad contact the Agency for Migration of Uzbekistan in advance. Through the agency, citizens can receive assistance in finding official and safe employment, information about available vacancies and employer contacts, as well as help with obtaining the necessary documents.
