US envoy says US-Uzbek relations are deepening

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- US Ambassador Richard Norland said in his New Year greetings to people of Uzbekistan that US-Uzbek understanding on important issues of regional security, economic investment, and human rights are deepening.

The message reads: “We are confident that the step by step progress in US-Uzbek relations will continue in the New Year.”

“The world faces many challenges in the coming year, including recovery from the global financial crisis, but working together I know we will prevail,” the message said.
