UNG Overseas and Centrum Holding to Create Joint Venture for Rail Logistics

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The international company UNG Overseas and the major transport and logistics holding Centrum Holding have concluded a memorandum of strategic partnership. The solemn signing ceremony of the official document took place in Tashkent. The concluded agreement lays the foundation for long-term cooperation between the two structures in the field of optimizing cargo flows and expanding the export capabilities of the republic's fuel and energy complex.

Within the framework of the reached agreements, the key vector of interaction will be the establishment of a new joint venture specialized in railway logistics and the transportation of bulk petroleum products. The partners intend to elaborate and launch an end-to-end export route operating on the "factory-to-tanker" principle. The implementation of this project involves the comprehensive and highly efficient utilization of existing infrastructure, including modern regional logistics hubs, dry ports, as well as specialized terminal capacities.

The main practical objective of this large-scale initiative is the formation of a high-tech and reliable export logistics system, which will significantly reduce overall transportation costs during the transit of raw materials and finished products. Furthermore, the optimization of logistics chains is aimed at maximum retention of added value within the Republic of Uzbekistan.

It is expected that the strategic partnership with the leading logistics operator will provide a serious impetus for expanding the commercial activities of UNG Overseas, which serves as the key international platform of the Joint Stock Company Uzbekneftegaz in foreign markets.

As a reminder, in October 2025, Uzbekneftegaz announced the establishment of a new subsidiary structure named Orient Energy Limited, which underwent official registration in the United Arab Emirates. In the international market, the created enterprise carries out its commercial and operational activities under the single brand name UNG Overseas.

The list of key tasks for the new foreign entity includes the active attraction of long-term financing and direct investments from leading international financial institutions and large investment funds. The accumulated financial resources are planned to be directed toward the implementation of large-scale strategic projects in the energy sector, related heavy industry sectors, as well as the modernization of the profile production infrastructure of Uzbekistan.

In addition to the investment direction, UNG Overseas will focus on the large-scale promotion and diversification of exports of domestic oil, gas, and chemical complex products to promising global markets. The duties of the UAE-based division will also include the design and development of new logistics chains for the uninterrupted supply of hydrocarbon raw materials.
