The minimum marriage age of men and women is equalized to 18 years

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The Senate of the Oliy Majlis of the Republic of Uzbekistan approved amendments to the Family Code of Uzbekistan. The amendments envisage an increase of the minimum age for marriage for women from 17 to 18 years.

The Senate approved the law "On Amendments and Additions to Some Legislative Acts of the Republic of Uzbekistan", which amended the Family Code.

Now, the minimum marriage age of men and women is equalized to 18 years.
