Tax Committee Denies Reports of Unauthorized Soliq Deductions

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — The State Tax Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan issued an official clarification in response to information circulating on social media about alleged unauthorized deductions through the “Tree Planting and Saplings Fund” in the Soliq mobile application.

The authority stated that the circulating reports do not correspond to reality.

According to the State Tax Committee, the relevant feature was introduced in accordance with Presidential Decree No. PQ–343 of 18 November 2025.

Under the decree, the State Tax Committee, together with the Committee for Ecology, was instructed to establish a mechanism for the voluntary allocation of cashback funds accrued to users of the Soliq application for tree planting and sapling planting purposes.

It was noted that the fund account displayed in the application does not provide for the automatic deduction of users’ personal funds or cashback.

The Tax Committee emphasized that all transactions are carried out strictly on a voluntary basis and only upon user confirmation. Personal funds are not deducted without consent, and allocation of cashback to the fund is possible only upon the user’s decision.

In connection with the spread of false information, the authority called on social media users, bloggers, and media outlets to verify data before publication and refrain from sharing unverified claims.

Official clarifications, it added, are published exclusively through official channels of state authorities.
