Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.uz) — The 19th International Conference for ccTLD Registries and Registrars of Eastern Europe and Central Asia (TLDCON 2026) will take place in Tashkent on 22–23 September 2026.

The event will bring together experts, regulators, and IT industry representatives to address domain industry growth, technological innovation, and cybersecurity issues.

The conference will be held at the Panarams Tashkent Hotel. It is organized by the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ and the Russian Institute for Public Networks (RIPN). The Technical Center Internet serves as the general partner, with MSK-IX and the Runiti Group of Companies as partners, and UZINFOCOM acting as the host organization.

A central focus of TLDCON 2026 will be the application of artificial intelligence in domain ecosystem defense. Discussions will center on utilizing AI for threat forecasting, preventing coordinated attacks, and combating domain name system abuse, including DNS Abuse.

Dedicated sessions will also examine technical efficiency, including the optimization of DNS resolvers and the adoption of Universal Acceptance principles in alignment with international standards.

The event program will cover domain regulation and marketing, with experts examining specialized service frameworks for domain zones—such as government, municipal, and brand domains—alongside new strategies for domain name promotion.

A youth section will address workforce development, focusing on engaging young professionals in Internet governance, international digital cooperation, and the expansion of mentorship initiatives.

Andrey Vorobyev, director of the Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ, noted that 2026 marks the first time the conference is being held in Tashkent. He stated that hosting the event alongside UZINFOCOM will enable participants to address shared industry challenges, exchange practical experience, and develop strategies for future Internet infrastructure development.

Established in 2008, TLDCON serves as an international platform for country-code top-level domain registries and registrars to collaborate, share expertise, and discuss issues surrounding Internet addressing and global network stability.

Participation is open to national domain registries, accredited registrars, government officials, information security experts, developers, and specialized media. TLDCON 2026 will be conducted in a hybrid format, offering both in-person and online participation free of charge following registration on the official conference website.
